The salt and spice are ideal flavours to pimp up plain popcorn. This recipe is simple and quick to make – perfect for a snack in a hurry.
- Heat a large saucepan over a high heat. Add oil. When smoking add the corn. Put the lid on the pan.
- Shake the pan every so often while the corn pops to prevent burning. When the corn stops making popping noises, remove the pan from the heat and tip the popcorn into a large bowl.
- Wash out the pan and return to the high heat. Melt butter, then add spices and salt, and fry while stirring for ½ minute. Pour the butter over the popcorn and mix through to coat.
